Dale Allen Sillanpaa

Dale Sillanpaa, 56, died Monday, July 27, 2009, at his home in Des Moines. Funeral Services will be held on 2 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. A visitation will be held two hours prior to services, at the funeral home. Burial of cremated remains will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Dale was born on October 3, 1952 to Carol and Matthew Sillanpaa. He enjoyed attending car shows, poker, fishing, CSI T.V. shows, picking on his best friend Dave, he loved to make people laugh, and he loved being with his friends and family. Dale also served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
Dale is survived by his loving wife Yvonne; sons, Josh and Joseph; mother, Carol; brothers, Mike and Terry; and sister, Lori (Ron) Scarberry. He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew; niece, Jessica; and brother, Ronnie.
