Martha Moyer

Martha Jean Moyer, 85, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Martha was born August 24, 1921 in Des Moines and was a lifelong resident. She will be remembered by those who knew her as a woman of great strength and abundant love. Martha was always concerned about her boys and looked out for them. Her family was her life and she loved taking care of everyone. Her independence and incredible memory never ceased to amaze them. Martha was a hard working person, in the most recent years she had been employed at Diamond Lab, John Deere Works and Deluxe Check Printers.
Martha is survived by her sons, William Moyer of Ankeny, Carl (Penny) Moyer, Jr. of Ankeny and Donald (Gloria) Moyer of Des Moines; brother, John McNichol of Colorado; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Moyer, Sr. and her daughter, Florence Kathleen Moyer.
