Mildred Douglas

Mildred V. Douglas, 90, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at Valley View Village. She was born June 28, 1919 in Centerville, IA to Earl and Beulah Collins. In addition to being a homemaker, together with her husband George, they owned and operated Douglas Construction. Mildred attended Grandview Park Baptist Church.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Loretta (Harold) Fisher; a grandchild; four great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-
grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; and her sisters, Thelma and Bernice. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a great-granddaughter, three sisters and a brother.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2009 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
