Randy Long of Des Moines died Sunday at Methodist Hospital.
He was born in Knoxville, Iowa, and was married to Barbara Long for more than 40 years. He was a long time employee of Super Value and a Teamster's member. Randy was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; his children, Ron and Charice (Rob) Gomez; two grandchildren, Camrynn and Caleb. He was preceded in death by his parents and many siblings.
The family will receive visitors at home on Thursday, July 16th from 6-8 p.m.

hello,barb,i was raised with the exline kids in melcher and new randy since i was young,i learned of his death tonight in the paper,i was shocked and saddened,i never knew he was ill,im so sorry for your loss,the last time i saw Randy was at darrell lee's going away party years ago,it was good to see him.you take care now and know he is in gods home ....bonnie lash 47535 320th ave russell iowa 50238
