Twyla Smith

Twyla Smith, 56, passed away at Mercy Medical Center Sunday, July 12, 2009.
Twyla was born May 20, 1953 in Des Moines to Robert and Bonnie Walker. She enjoyed fishing, gambling, karaoke, traveling, the races and spending time with her family.
Twyla is survived by her husband of 33 years, Gary Smith; children, Kenith (Lorraine) Walker, James (Sara) Walker, Mike (Leilani) Walker, Kathy Smith and Gary Smith, Jr.; three sisters; four brothers; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; a brother and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Victory Promise in Woodward, IA followed by burial at Woodward Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
She was a mother and grandmother to all.
