I worked with Rod for a number of years at the old Army Reserve Center in Ft. Des Moines. He was always the kindest, caring guy with lots of good advice to offer, and I considered him a friend. I was deeply saddened to learn of his death and so appreciative to the family for having the streaming of his memorial service this morning. It was so lovely....may God give you comfort at this very sad time.

Rod and I grew up several blocks apart. Together went to Boy Scouts, Rod did well and I attened. We have many memories of evenings at Ora Carmens's, who was the Scoutmaster. Rod was a Good Friend. We were able to get reacquanited in our later years. Many problems, on the national scene, were hashed over and solved many times. I could go on, the Christmas Card exchanges, coffee together.
May you rest in Eternal Peace, My Friemd.

Rod was a great friend always calling to check in. i always answered "What do you want" he always had a good laugh over that greeting. Bailee will always remember Rod as the "cookie guy" because he always had cookies in his desk drawer when she came to work to visit. and later when she was in girl scout he'd order a case of cookies from her each year. Bill has a list of chores Rod was wanting done to the house "at some point". i think it was their excuse to hang out and have a beer from time to time. the Anderson's will truely miss Rod but cherish the time we got to spend with him. Much Love to his family 💞
