O'Peachie Contreras

O’Peachie Lynn Hodge White Contreras, 44 years old, passed from this earth surrounded by family September 7, 2020 after a courageous battle with kidney disease.

O’Peachie was born December 28, 1975 in Des Moines to Joan Hodge. She was a funny, fair, loyal person who valued honesty. She was one of a kind, intelligent and outspoken.

O’Peachie graduated from Upper Iowa University with a BA in Criminal Justice.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her daughters, Alejandra Contreras and Adriana Contreras; her granddaughter - “Her Whole Heart”, Amirah Miner; her parents, Joan and John White; her siblings, Carley White, Johnathan White, Jennifer White, Elijah White; her sisters by heart, Jami Lafferty McGuire, Gena Fernandez, Juanita Fernandez; niece, Harper Vu; nephews, Jacob White and Kris White; and the love of her life, Javier Contreras.

She was preceded in death by her beloved nana, Mabel Hodge; grandfather, James Hodge; aunt, Jeniene Lafferty; and brothers, Joey Jackson and Jason Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Berean Church - Main Sanctuary, 5299 E University Ave, Pleasant Hill, IA. Social distancing and masks will be required.
