Service Details
Danny Bubb, 61, passed away at his home Friday, May 29, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Danny was born March 11, 1948 in Creston, Iowa to Leonard and Virginia Bubb. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Bill) Espalin; grandchildren, Datin and Brock; brothers, Dick and Jerry Bubb; sisters, Sharon Kessler and Linda Spare; companion, Jane Wagner and her family; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to the family in the death of Danny. I worked part-time with him the last three years and we went out to lunch occasionally. I counted him as a friend. We both went through some health issues during this time. I feel richer to have known him. I will always remember and appreciate his friendship. Paul

Hello, you don't know me but I work at the grandkids school. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Danny this year when he would come in and have lunch with the kids, I even gave him his own lunch number. The kids faces' would light up when they saw him waiting for them. He was such a nice, friendly and funny man. We were all saddened today when we heard the news. Hi Shannon,
You might not remember me but I am Paul Bubb's stepdaughter. I have very fond memories of your family when I spent the summer before my Junior year with you guys in Estherville taking care of you while your parents worked. I always thought Uncle Danny was the funniest man I had ever met and made being around him very enjoyable, although over the last several years our families have not been in contact. I ran into him about 5 months ago in Des Moines and he hadnt changed one bit...still crazy as ever. I work for the Powers Funeral Home in Creston and understand from your mom that you work at Hamiltons. I am so glad your mom called my mom Mary to let her know of his passing and please know that we all have wonderful memories of your family and will always cherish those memories. I am going to try to make the service on Tuesday to see the other Bubb family members and will look forward to seeing you again. I was also wondering if you were putting the obit in the Creston Newsadvertiser, as lots of people around here still remember all of the Bubb families. Let me know if I can help with anything on this end if you need it. Cherish your great memories to assist you at this time.
