Earl James Mabrier

James Mabrier, 61, died at his home Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
James graduated from Des Moines Tech High in 1965. He retired from the City of Des Moines after 28 years of service. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
James is survived by his wife of 43 years, Arlene; children, Lisa (Joe) Hart and Jeff Mabrier; mother, Ruth Mabrier; grandchildren, Joe and Tyler Hart; and many other extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Mabrier. James will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
