Jerome Bishop, age 66, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on July 11, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois.

His passion and joy in life was music and he felt fortunate in life to have the opportunity to travel the world and make a living doing what he loved. He could light up any room he entered and was loved by many. JB touched many people’s lives with his wit and his humor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla Lafferty-Bishop; daughter, Arquella Owens; son, Christopher Bishop; two grandchildren; sisters, Wanda J. Bishop and Rosetta Bishop; brother, Martin Bishop; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

JB was preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Rev. Dr. James Bishop; sister, Celeste Bishop; and brother, James Bishop, Jr.
