Grace AnnaMarie Birke

Grace came into the world as a miracle with a personality as a fighter. She was given only minutes to live, but she proved the doctors wrong. She was born at Noon, and at 3 p.m. they removed her oxygen. At 8:55 am the following morning, she looked up at her parents and smiled and then slipped into Jesus’s arms.

She is survived by her mom, Ashley Pope; Dad, Steven Birke; siblings, Faith Pope Birke and Steven Birke Jr.; grandparents, Irene(Kenny) Bevard, Russell (Julie ) Pope, Billie Birke ( Rolando Ochoa Jr.); Great Grandparents, Lillian (Dean ) Helmers, Tom (Lupe) Pope, Shelia Pope, and Diane (Gus) Dittmann; and many Aunts uncles and cousins.

Grace was preceded in death by two siblings in infancy; Great Grandpa, Gary Ben Anderson; and God Mother, AnnaMarie Phipps.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. with a time of sharing starting at 3:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
