Gerald Cordaro

Gerald "Jerry" Cordaro, 65, of Des Moines passed away on May 2, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Thursday at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home with cremation following the service. The family will greet friends from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Jerry was in the Navy and is a retired successful salesman. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed golfing, dancing, bowling and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving companion Sharon Saltzman; his children Teresa Cordaro, Karla Owens, Joseph Cordaro, Jody Klodner and Kim Dinsmore; his brothers John, Jim and Joe Cordaro; his sisters Mary Frederick, Connie Clinton, Betty Wing and Chris Cordaro as well as 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Barbara Cordaro and his grandson Skylar.
