June 02, 2020
Andrea Jean Lane, affectionately known as “Juju”, was born in Chicago, July 3, 1955 to Herman Lane and Jimmie Lee Grace. She attended Irving Elementary and Proviso East High School in Maywood, IL. She attended Triton College in River Forest, IL and received her C.N.A License.
Andrea played a very important role in raising her grandchildren. Andrea loved to sing, dance and hang around her family, playing cards and board games. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She often attended Rock of Ages Baptist Church with her daughter Lisa. Often Sunday mornings you would see her watching Rev. Clay Evans and listening to her gospel music and singing.
Her love was unconditional and her heart was big and she was surrounded by her family at the time of her death. Andrea was preceded in death by her father, Herman Lane and brother, Preston Lane. She is survived by her mother, Jimmie Lee Grace; aunt, Barbara Jean Nichols (Nick); sisters, Joy Denise Bass, Jackie Lane; brother, Robert Bailey; daughters, Zelisa Lane, Asia Lane; grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Justice, Aszja, Avanti, Mario, Cordell; nieces, Jimmie (Ricardo), Andrea (Jeremy); nephew, Derwann; great-nieces, Lonya’e, Monya’e, Raven, Marshay, Makaiyah, Jai’rae; great-nephews, Kai, Darius, Amiri; great-great-niece, Londynn; great-great-nephew, Jamel; and a host of cousins and wonderful friends.
Due to public gatherings being limited to 10 people or less, there will not be any services for Andrea at this time. Friends and family will gather at a later date to celebrate her life in Chicago. Even though you are unable to be present during this time of bereavement, we encourage friends to share their sympathies with her family using Hamilton’s online condolences at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

May your wings continue to grow strong as you rest in God presence. Peace be still and know to be absent from body is to be present with the lord. Fly high and God bless the Lane family throughout this time of bereavement. God is faithful and promises to be near to broken hearted. Psalms 23 The lord is my Shepard I shall not want he makes me lay down in green pastures!!! Stand tall on faith - Hebrews 11-1 . Faith is the substance of things hoped for evidence of things unseen. Amen.
