Just looked for Ed in the internet and I was sad to see he died. We spent time together in Germany at DESY lab back in 1993-94 and I got to know his wife Genie also. Great guy and a good friend.

Lyell and I were so surprised and sad to learn that Ed had died. We want his family - and especially his daughters -and Ed pecially his daughters to know that Lyell and I thought the world of both of your parents. We remember their commitment to and joy in their accomplishment in building their beautiful house. We remember being happy to be included in many warm and very enjoyable evenings with them. Ed always had a twinkle in his eyes,

I cried when I read of Eds passing in the paper yesterday and wanted to send my condolences to you. He was a friend from our Maroger painting class and we would have great chats while watercolor painting. He spoke so highly of his family and I admired many of his paintings of you, your special occasions, the lions from his Africa trip, cardinals ... and especially the physics design & the strawberries and fruit on the blue checked tablecloth. Yet the one that brings a smile now is his self-portrait in his favorite sweater and glasses! He loved his travels and would return with stories and photos to paint. Each week our long standing laugh was which one of us would be the first to end up cleaning our brushes in our coffee instead of our paint water as both always ended up the same color! His kindness, intelligence, creativity and humor will be missed and I am a better artist and person for having known him. Sending much love and blessings to each of you.

We are very, very sorry to learn of Ed McCliment's passing. We have known him since 1965 when we rented his house while he was on sabbatical in Germany. Since then we have found him to be a good friend and admirable colleague. Our children were also friends with En and Genie's children. We will surely miss him.

Lisa,
Sorry to see about the passing of your dad. I have great memories of being at your house, especially in the summer and how funny I thought it was that I knew the guy that wrote my college physics book. Thinking of you and the rest of your family.
