Donald Rumley

Donald L. Rumley, 62, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Taylor House Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Don was born February 10, 1947 in Des Moines to Leo and Pearl (Hendrickson) Rumley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked in the warehouse at Fawn Engineering for many years. Don enjoyed bowling, playing the slots and BINGO and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; daughters, Chris (David) Blacksmith and Tammy (Joe) Agey; son, Robbie Rumley; sisters, Peggy Coleman, Cindy Hough and Debbie Pogue; six grandchildren, Heather, David, Jr. and Zachary Blacksmith, Ryan and Camie Agey and MacKenzie Jane Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
