Robyn Murphy
May 18, 2020
Robyn Murphy, age 54, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at her home in Des Moines.
Robyn was born January 22, 1966 in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert and Beverly (Hess) Murphy. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. Robyn graduated from East High School in 1984. She worked off and on at DAV Thrift Store, but her greatest joy was her family. In her retirement, she did day care for her grandbabies out of her home. They were her pride and joy.
Robyn enjoyed watching sports, and was a Steelers fan for life. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader, always supporting them from the sidelines.
She is survived by her children, Jamie (Ricky) Wessel, Brandi Johnson (James), and Kody (Kyra) Cockrum; grandchildren, Crispin, Chasity, Justus, Raelynn, Landon, Braiden, Ryleigh, Kolby, Mariska, and Kayson; mother, Beverly Murphy; sisters, Regina Murphy and Rhonda Murphy; and other extended family and friends.
Robyn will be greeted in Heaven by her father, Bob Murphy; step-father, Harley Stanley; and her grandson, Braxton.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, cremation will occur and there will be a celebration of Robyn’s life at a later date.
