Lawrence Clarence Kelley, Jr. was born July 5, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence Sr. and Barbara (Bell) Kelley. He graduated from Narbonne High, Gardenia, CA and attended culinary school in Los Angeles. Lawrence was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and love watching them play.

Lawrence was employed by Calvin Community for over 10 years and Embassy Suites several years until he had to put down the Chef Hat and Apron due to health problems .

Lawrence was a father, brother, and friend we will miss him. He passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 54.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his children, Michael, Jeremiah, Devon, and Lawrence Walker, Antonio Brown, Jawon Eubanks Brown, and Angel Kelley; his siblings Antionette Kelley and Adrian Kelley; and nephews, David Walton III and Ma'kel Griffin. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence C. Kelley Sr.; mother, Barbara A. Bell; grandma, Cora V. Bell; and his sister, Linda Allison.
