A smile for me and a smile for everyone at New Hope United Methodist Church. She sang in the choir as long as she was able. What a lady! I know she will be missed by family and many friends. Although we were not close friends, we were friends in Christ. Our Lord has called another one home and she will be awaiting her heavenly assignment.

We are so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. She and Sherm are such a solid part of New Hope's history. It was always reassuring to see Barb in the choir, the short one in the back. She was quick to share her truth and always with a smile. We will miss seeing her. So glad that their New Hope legacy lives on with Kathy and Julie.

Barb and Sherm had my mom and dad in their circle of friends. Sports, parties, school gatherings, church and more. Nice to be around her. Sweet travels Barb.

Such a sad time. Barb had a special place in my heart from my first day at woodside junior high. She was my bus driver my first day of school in Des Moines. Then Sherm and Barb were then lifetime friends of our family from that point on. God Bless her. Saying prayers to yall.

Condolences to my wonderful cousins and their families. Many treasured memories of visits when we were kids. Your mom was the last surviving member of a large group of parents, aunts, and uncles who treated us to many holidays together as an extended family. They are now back together in a better place. God bless.
