Robert Perry

Robert (Bob) Perry, 64, of Des Moines passed away on April 3, 2009 at the Bright Kavanagh House. His body was donated to Des Moines University and a memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at Hamilton’s Funeral Home on Lyon. Bob was a retired truck driver and enjoyed working in his yard and garden and going to the casino. He loved time spent with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his companion and caregiver Phyllis Ferris, his daughters Ginger (Keith) Geiken of Mesa, AZ and Lisa (Doug) Foley of Omaha, NE, his grandchildren Jacob Geiken of Mesa, AZ, Jessica (Brandon) Hagins of Des Moines and Michael and Zach Carr of Des Moines, his great grandson Konnor Hagins, his brother Glenn Perry of Des Moines, his sisters Joyce (Jerry) Billings of Centerville and Diane (Ron) Kochiser of Hartford, several nieces, nephews and extended family as well as his loving dog Lexie. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Opal, his brother Daniel and his son Robert L. Perry Jr. Bob’s family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Central Iowa and the Bright Kavanagh House for their care and compassion toward Bob and his family.
