Going to miss you. Keep saying prayers for me and I will always keep you in my ??
I got the call for kickstands up a little sooner than the rest.
Im ridin on aheadIll meet you all up the road.
Off in the distance, youll hear the twins report.
And youll wonder whos off ridin
Its me.
I got a new patch todaylike youve never seen before,
hand sewn by an angel just outside of heavens door.
I let er idle and had a cold one with Peter right there at the gates
He told me son youre gonna love this rideall your brothers here heard you got
the callKickstand up biker brother, theyre waitin just around the bend
Theyre the spirit of the Patriot Guard,
The wipe off your brow after a real close call.
Im with em now, lookin out for you,
for when you next hear the highway beckon you
Im the straight shots youll hear up over the next rise,
a tail light youll never quite catch up to
Im the angel next to you when you take to the left and pass a long tandem.
Raise your glasses,
get off your asses.
Kickstands up all
You take my smile with you
But Ive ridden on ahead.
Im getting the place ready for a ride one day when you get the call
But dont hurry on my account. Youll get your patch soon enough.
Theres a great group up hereand its always warm
No matter where we ride, its always ahead of the storm.
And ever so often well gather up around that bend
and say kickstands up allthe rides just startin,
and Peters welcoming an old friend.
