Paul A. Davis, 74, passed away on October 1, 2019. He was born April 25, 1945 in Far Rockaway in Queens, New York to Murray and Ruth Davis.
Paul graduated from Ithaca High School in Ithaca, New York in 1962 and Corning Community College in Corning, New York in 1965. He moved to Iowa in October of 1965, to attend Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa and graduated in 1968. Paul took graduate classes at Northeast Missouri State in Kirksville, Missouri.
Paul had a 30 year teaching career primarily in Iowa, during which he taught mostly science to students grade 6 through adult in public, parochial and trade school settings. He was an award winning electronics instructor at National Education Center in West Des Moines from 1987 - 1994. Paul also taught electronics at Hamilton Business College. He worked at Sam’s Club in Windsor Heights for more than 20 years during and following his teaching career.
He was an avid bowler for many years and participated in several different leagues at several of the lanes in Des Moines.
He is survived by his companion of 33 years, Lynisa Beam; sons, Blake (Ann) and Josh Davis; step-daughter, Merissa Beam; grandchildren, Brendan, Ilan, Madeline, Jocelyn, Jonathan and Nathaniel; brother, Steve Davis; extended relatives and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
Services are currently pending.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a cause close to Paul’s heart.

Paul I always enjoyed sitting out side of sams club having a smoke with u and u telling me jokes. U always came up with some good ones and always made people have a smile on there face when they was having a bad day u will be missed but never forgotten.
