Michael Williamson, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 16, 2019, at his home. He was born May 5, 1972, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Deb Taylor and Denny Williamson.

Mike graduated from Ankeny High School in 1990 and worked as a painter for many years and belonged to the Painters Union. He enjoyed working on cars and fishing. Most of all, Mike was a great father and loved spending time with family.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Leya Williamson; mother, Deb (Rick) Taylor; father, Denny (Kathy) Williamson; step-brothers, Jeremy (Kristy) Taylor and Ben Taylor; nephew, Ashtyn; grandmother, Janet Williamson; uncles, Michael Williamson, Marty (Lisa) Williamson, Dennis (Cathy) Harrison, and Dana (Kate) Harrison; and many cousins and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Williamson; and grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Harrison, Gene and Joan Rush and Charlie Williamson.

The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
