Helen Pauline Johnson

Helen “Pauline” Johnson, 83, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Kavanagh on 56th. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pauline was born June 2, 1925 in Des Moines to Oscar and Margaret Wieslander. She graduated from North High School in 1943. Pauline was united in marriage in 1947 to Roy E. Johnson. She was a childcare provider until the age of 79, most recently with the Des Moines Public School’s Metro Kids. Pauline was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Pauline is survived by her daughters, Judith (John) Hammer, Janine (James) Clark and Jean (Stacey) Collins; grandchildren, Jason (Holly) Collins and Derek Collins; great-grandchild, Keegan Collins; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
