Donna Lynn Erickson, 69, passed away on June 12, 2019, after battling Parkinson’s disease. She was born in Des Moines to Clarence and Doris Smith on January 9, 1950.
She enjoyed many things, especially scrapbooking, photography, doing crafts with her sisters and mom, cooking and cake baking. She was a word processor for Principal.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Melinda (Jon) Campo; son Kevin (Anjie) Erickson; sister, Sue (Swede) Wright; brothers, Clarence Smith and Bill Smith; brother in law, Paul Harrison; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Barb and sister in law Cookie.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., at 1211 Vine Street, West Des Moines, Iowa

I am so sorry for the passing of your mom. I worked with Donna for several years at Principal and will always remember how "fast" she could type. She was a special lady and always had a smile for everyone. Prayers to her family.

So sorry to hear this news. Donna was a lot of fun to grow up with down at Jordan Church. I like that she didn't take guff from anyone. Great sense of humor always nice to me.

So sorry for your loss. She was a great lady. I will always remember all the cakes she baked for us especially my wedding cake. It was exactly what I wanted.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Donna in Doc Services before she retired. She was always laughing and smiling, helpful, creatively talented and great to be around. I pray God's grace will give you peace in this difficult time.
