Marilyn J. Carter

Marilyn Jean Carter, 60, was born January 3, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa. She passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019.

Marilyn loved her garden and was proud of the flowers and tomatoes that she grew. She enjoyed playing online games and keeping in touch through Facebook. She is survived by her daughters Stephanie Heavilin (Eric) and Mary Daughenbaugh, grandson Tyreke, and brother Greg Tilton (Mary).

She was preceded in death by her first husband Steven Daughenbaugh, her parents Woody and Eileen, and several blood and foster siblings.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral service at 1 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will be followed by cremation.
