Edith St. John

Edith May St. John, 77, of Des Moines passed away on December 2, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12 Noon until service time on Friday. Edith was born on March 1, 1931 in Des Moines and was a member of the Indianola Heights Evangelical Free Church. She enjoyed gardening, stamping-up, sewing, watching birds and associating with her friends during therapy at the Mercy Hospital pool. She is survived by her three sons Rick, David and Donald; her brother Dale Foster of Ft. Myers, Florida; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur “Bid” St. John and her son Paul St. John.
