Barbara Sena

Barbara Ellen Sena, 82, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at home. Per her wishes, she has been cremated and no services are planned.
Barbara was born October 27, 1925 in Bergin, Kentucky to Ernest and Jean Miller. She married Eugene Sena on December 2, 1950. She loved to read and garden, and was an avid bowler. She was a very strong and competent woman; there was nothing she couldn’t do.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Jon) Gehrke of Clive; her grandchildren: Olivia, Kate, Charlie, Andy, Ella and Madeleine Gehrke all of Des Moines, and Ben Hensley of Spain; and her brother Walter Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her daughter Toni.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, 5452 NE 22nd St., Des Moines, IA 50313 in loving memory of Barbara.
