Warren Williams

On October 2, 2008, Warren R. Williams went to be with God and his wife, Wilma. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. until service time. A private family inurnment will take place at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Mr. Williams lived most of his life in Des Moines, residing at Valley View Village the last 25 years. He graduated from East High in 1936. He was a proud member of IBEW, Local 347 and retired as their business agent. Mr. Williams was a Navy Seabee during WWII and a member of the American Legion Post 374. He was also a member of Capital Hill Lutheran Church.
Mr. Williams is survived by his daughters, Jan (Jim) Dunn of West Des Moines, IA and Joyce (Don) Paterson of Tempe, AZ; five grandchildren, Kristin Muelhaupt, Theresa Matz, Todd Breton, Katy Paterson and Amanda Ohlgren; and his sister, Ruth Anthony. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma in November of 2000 and his parents.
