Shellie, Dennis, & Elaine:
I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for the loss of Dylan. I can't even imagine what you must be going through. My youngest daughter Shayna is also a student at the Harbour and she knew Dylan. I never had the pleasure of knowing your son but from the things that I have read about him and the things that Shayna has told me about him I know he was a very wonderful young man. You and your family are in my thoughts and my prayers. I pray that God will give you strength has you go through this most difficult time. Elaine-take special care of Austin, I remember him as a young toddler when I cared for him in my home daycare, I will continue to pray for his recovery.

Words will never be able to explain the sorrow I feel for the loss of your son, brother, cousin, friend. I did not know Dylan personally but through my sons I heard many stories about the good times they had him and Savanna. Although we do not know why he was chosen to go home so soon, and you want him here with you, please be comforted knowing he is living on in the hearts and memories of everyone who loved him.

Wentland, Courtney & Dolash Families: Please know that our many thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Our family has been priviledged enough to have been blessed to know all of you and touched by many of your family members respectively. Dylan wrestled with Bud and they were great teachers to each other. He always had the best manners when I would encourage him (even if it was just to humor me) during wrestling tournaments. He always gave his best. Please try to stick together as a family and console each other knowing he was a very special young man because of the contributions each and every one of you made to his life. Be strong and God be with all of you!

To the entire Wentland Family, There are no words to express how we feel, but please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. May you get through these very trying times knowing that Dylan meant a lot to everybody he touched. He was in a class last year with my son and he always talked of Dylan. We continue to pray for Austin and strength for you all. God Bless to each and every one of you.

My deepest sympathy to your family. Dylan was a very special young man - even though I should be impartial as a teacher, I have to admit that Dylan was one of my all-time favorites. Through even the toughest times, Dylan was always a very sensitive, loving young man. He deeply loved his family and won the hearts of many friends with his smile, his loyalty and sense of humor. Though his life was short, Dylan impacted the lives of many - I am proud to have been a part of that life...and will continue my prayers for you all in the coming days.
God Bless,

My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. I was lucky enough to be Dylan's 6th grade teacher at Altoona Elem. I remember his smile and positive attitude. He was a sensitive and strong young man who worked hard. I can still picture him at school, wrestling (I remember seeing him at Dowling High School during a competition), and in the pictures I still have of him and the "Rabbits" he took care of. I was fortunate a couple of years ago to see him at the Iowa State Fair where we were able to share a few quick memories. I am proud to say that I was allowed to be part of his life----My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
God Bless,
Ms. Sigmund

From your Kansas Family, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. May you find God's peace somehow through this. There are no words to express the sorry we feel for you. We love to hear the stories that Gma Sharon tells when she comes to visit, about the activities of all of her grandchildren. She is so proud of all of them. I pray that God will ease the pain in some manner, although I don't know how that is possible. We have to rely upon the knowledge that Dylan is in a better place and you will be with him again someday. May God's powerful healing hand be on you all!
