Eola "Jo" Porter

“Jo” Eola Porter, 64, of Des Moines passed away on September 29, 2008 from complications of surgery. Jo will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. A luncheon at the church will follow the service with burial of the cremains at 3 P.M. Saturday at Spring Valley Cemetery in Casey, Iowa. Jo was retired, loved to bowl and was president of the G.D.M.W.B.A. She is survived by her daughter Sherry (Brian) Moore of Pleasant Hill, her son Doug (Brady) Porter of Altoona, her sister Louise Rhodes of Boone, Iowa, her brothers Fred (Louise) Kent of Dexter and John (Kathy) Kent of Luther, Iowa as well as 6 grandchildren.
