John "Jack" McGowan
May 06, 2018
John “Jack” McGowan, a real “Jack” of all trades was born March 18, 1927 and passed away May 6, 2018 at the age of 91.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Jack married the girl of his dreams Betty Jean Breese. They were married for 66 years before her passing on March 8, 2014. All who knew him, called him “Maestro” because of his love of music. Jack collected very unique one of a kind electric trains. He had a love and knowledge of art, poetry and the theatre that he bestowed upon his children and grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his beloved daughter, Deborah Joy McGowan and grandchildren, Robert and Nicolle Allen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean McGowan and son, Jeffrey McGowan.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to A Plus Home Care, Wesley Life and Larry Draughn along with his team of volunteers that help veterans and others stay in their own homes.

I am very sorry to here of Jack's passing. He and I worked together off and on over 40 years. Jack is the most interesting person I have ever met. He knew a lot about life, and was a huge inspiration to me. I will really miss him. I am sure Jack and Wayne are having a good time.
