William Harry Burkett, age 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Polk City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Bill was born on August 28, 1943, to Mervin and Lena Burkett. Bill was a retired pharmaceutical salesman who enjoyed fishing, the Chicago Cubs and all Drake Bulldogs sports. He was also a proud member of the Shriners & Masons.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Bobby and sister-in-law Shirley. Those left to cherish his memory include his brother Raymond, nephew Jeff (Connie), nieces Julie (Craig) and Jonay (Mike), great nephews Christopher (Heidi), Dylan and Dallas and great nieces Megan and Lily.
A private burial will be held on Thursday, April 5th.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring, loving staff of Polk City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
