Earl Casner

Earl “Swede” Casner, 74, of Avon Lake, died on May 31, 2008 at his home following a long illness. Funeral services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Avon Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening, June 3, 2008, at the funeral home.
Earl was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, was a master brick mason for 44 years, and retired from the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Colleen, his children Debbie (Craig) Turney of Des Moines, Dan Casner of Des Moines, Dorothy (Rick) Gould of Carlisle and Brad A. Casner of Avon Lake, his sisters NoraBelle Law of Des Moines and Mary Worley of Tennessee as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 children, his grandchild and numerous brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in honor of Swede.
