Merel Wallace

Merel “Donald” Wallace, 87, passed away Monday, December 18, 2006 in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 21 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St. There will be a visitation with the family following the service until 11:30 AM. Burial will be held at 3:00 PM at Mt. Zion Cemetery north of Prescott, IA.
Donald is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eva Wallace of Des Moines; son, Leonard (Carol) Wallace of Boone; grandchildren, Timothy Wallace, Deanna McClain, Jeremy Wallace, Valerie Meanor and Lindsay Wallace; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Wallace of Rochester, MN; sister, Evelyn Beers of Des Moines; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Lowell Donald.
