Ruth Sidner

On May 26th, surrounded by her loving family Ruthie peacefully left this life after her long battle with cancer. Ruthie was born in Osage, Iowa in1951. She lived most of her life in the Des Moines area with her late husband David of thirty plus years, who passed in 2006. She enjoyed spending her weekends fishing, watching football, dancing to music, eating good food, and spending time with her babies: Abagail, Brenna, Noah, Maci, Brooklynn, and Alivia.
Ruthie dedicated the majority of her working life to CDS; she is considered a very important part of the CDS family. The many loving friends that Ruthie has have been a main support system for her and her family over the years and will all miss her dearly. Their help has been greatly appreciated by her family.
Ruthie is survived by her brothers and sisters Larry, Mathias “Butch”, Sherrel, and Kathryn; nieces and nephews Debbie, Dennis, Brad, Rhonda, Sherry, Jason, Char, Allen, Ashley, Briana, Brittany B, Nathan; great nieces and nephews; Justin, Brian, BJ, Joel, Brittany S, Bethany, and Noah; and her great great nieces and nephews aka her “babies,” and many more. We all miss you Foofie.
The Celebration of Ruthie’s life will be on Friday May 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Croatian Fraternal Slavic Center which is located at 6575 Indianola Ave, Flowers and cards may be sent to 1621 Army Post Rd.
