David Ceretti

David James Ceretti, 58, of Des Moines died on Monday, December 18, 2006 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha following a lengthy illness. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
David was a Vietnam veteran, serving for 2 years in Vietnam and was awarded three purple hearts, a bronze star and numerous other honors. He loved people, all sports, especially golf and was a proud member of AA. He is survived by his children Laura (Jeremy) Ceretti of Chesterfield, Missouri, David (Stacy) Ceretti of Wheaton, Illinois and Joe Ceretti of Des Moines, his mother Laura Ceretti of Des Moines, his siblings Loretta (Jerry) Cowart of Tucson, Shirley (Doug Marshall) Brown of Des Moines, Mary (W.M.) Hartgrove of Texas, Valerie (Kenneth) Berry of Des Moines, Randy Ceretti of Des Moines and Steve Ceretti of Des Moines as well as 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Bruno and his sister Lana.
The family will greet friends from 5-8 PM Thursday evening at Christ the King Catholic Church where there will be a 7 PM Vigil service.
