Charles Hamburger

Charles Raymond Hamburger, 72, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Taylor House Hospice. He was born July 31, 1935 to Charles Aaron and Theresa Viola (Keim) Hamburger in Keokuk, Iowa.
As a young boy, Charles worked for a traveling carnival in the summer and for the local bowling alley during the winter months. He loved to bowl and continued his passion until his health would no longer allow it.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles Brightman, Jaime Thielke and Christine Baker; brothers, Sam Hamburger of Maxwell, IA and George Hamburger of Hamilton, IL; sisters, Margaret Stephenson of Keokuk, IA and Nancy Ryan of Madrid, IA; nine grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy Hamburger and Darleen Stephenson; and his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Golden Terrace Apartment Community Room in Madrid, IA.
