Jesus Arredondo

Reverend Jesus D. Arredondo, 61, died on Monday May 12, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. There will be a visitation held at Rio De Agua Viva Assembly of God Church, where he and his wife pastor, 5170 NW 2nd Ave. from 12 to 6 p.m. with a 6 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday May 14, 2008. Jesus will then be taken to Ozona, TX for a funeral service on Friday with a burial at the Cedar Cemetery in Ozona.
Jesus was born in Del Rio, TX on April 25, 1947 to Jose and Fernanda Arredondo. He loved the ministry of “Church Planting” and was a servant at heart. Throughout his years as pastor he became a father figure for many, training many men for church construction. He loved outdoor activities and camping. Missions were his passion. His renal failure for thirty years never kept him from the pulpit and church work.
Jesus is survived by his wife, Irma Arredondo; daughter, Melody Arias; mother, Fernanda Arredondo; sisters, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Rosa Montes, Irene Arredondo, Anne Uregas and Amelia Sheryll; brother, Armando Arredondo and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Jose M. Arredondo.
