Marion Stroud

Marion Anita Stroud, 101, went to be with her Lord and Savior in Norwalk, Iowa, on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Regency Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Mrs. Stroud was born in Des Moines, Iowa, September 17, 1905 and married Harold M. Stroud on June 6, 1923. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She worked at Look Magazine from 1961 to 1967. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and her brother, Thomas Blood. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn J. Roth, four grandchildren and their spouses, Margaret Conley (Blair) of Ft. Dodge, Carol Clark (Dale), Linda Gilpin (Paul) of Des Moines and Thomas Roth (Marilyn A.) of Norwalk. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, Andrea, Anita, and Brian Conley; Andrew and Joel Clark; Stephanie Hoch; Aaron Roth (Alicia), Tyler Roth (Alicia), Isaiah Roth and Hannah Roth; a niece, Joyce Larson and many of her church family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19th at the funeral home.
