Loren Dingman

Loren H. Dingman, 72, died Saturday, December 16, 2006 from heart disease. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday December 19, 2006 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Loren was born September 27, 1934 to Leland “Ted” and Dorothy Dingman in Des Moines and served in the Army during the Korean War. He work as a conductor for the Rock Island Railroad for over 30 years and lived the last ten years at the Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown.
Loren is survived by his children, Steven (Amy) Dingman of Ankeny, Michael (Nissa) O’Brien of Pleasantville, and Sandra Dingman of Ankeny; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Nancy) Dingman of Des Moines; sisters, Barbara Bell of Arkansas and Gail Highland of Des Moines; and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; grandson, Dustin Dingman; and sister, Carol Dingman.
