Jerry J. Glass, Sr., 63, passed on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 of cancer. Jerry was retired from the Des Moines Water Works and enjoyed Figure 8 Racing in Indianola. He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Glass; three children, Sharon McCuen, Jerry Glass, Jr. and Bill Kirkpatrick, all of Des Moines; five grandkids and three great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Hamilton’s funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

We are so sorry for your loss. Jerry will surely be missed. Jerry always enjoyed coming out to our place, which he liked to call Gods Country. He would arrive early on Saturdays and spend the day talking, relaxing and preparing to go to the races, his favorite pastime. It is a gift to have known such a special person.
