Diane June Redfern (Ogden), 73, of Des Moines died on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 6th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 5-7 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Diane was born April 27, 1935 in Des Moines. She was a retired secretary for Equifax and a member of the Glen Echo Christian Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, crafts, spending time with family and playing with her dog Jasmine.
She is survived by her husband Jim of Des Moines, her daughters Vicki (Joe) Smejkal of Omaha and Valorie (David) McCool of Bayard, Iowa, her son John (Deanna) Redfern of Omaha, as well as her grandchildren Sarah McCool of Omaha and Michael McCool of Ames. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mildred Ogden of Des Moines and father and mother-in-law Lyle and Margaret Redfern of Guthrie Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to Child Services of Iowa.

I am so sorry to hear about Diane. Won't be able to make it to the visitation but plan to be at the service Tuesday.
You will miss her terribly I am sure, but what great memories. I will always remember her as Aunt Diane who liked to laugh and could be "full of the dickens" in her younger years.
