Sara "Sally" Bulver

Sara “Sally” Ann Bulver was born March 8, 1927, in Swan, Iowa, the daughter of Marion and Mildred (Shook) Reeves. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1945. While attending school, Sally worked at Younkers. She began working at Firestone in 1950 and has been a member of Steelworkers Union 310 ever since. After Sally retired, she had time to spend with the grandkids she loved. She was a hard worker, creative, personable, compassionate, and generous.

Sally passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at Mitchellville Care Center on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

Her funeral service will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis, Robert Jr. (Julie), William (Sandra) Powell; daughter, Julie (Chuck) Guhl; son-in-law, Ken (Kathy) Heaberlin; brothers, Danny, Jim, Richard and Dave; sister, Susan Cosner; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Mildred Reeves; husband, Robert “Bob” Bulver; daughter, Diana Heaberlin; grandson, Dennis Heaberlin; sisters, Bernita and Juanita; and her brother, Larry.
