Israel Cruz Villavicencio

Israel Cruz Villavicencio, 48, passed away unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in an accident on Saturday, December 2, 2017.

He was born June 5, 1969, in Michoacan, Mexico, to mother, Martina Villavicencio Bermudes and father, Gonzalo Cruz Vega. He will be remembered as having a heart of gold. Israel had a “Hello!” for everyone he met and never met a stranger. He was a loving, giving, generous man. He was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor. He was hilarious and could make anyone laugh. Israel above all else treasured time spent with his family.

Israel is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth, Samantha and Isabella Juarez; the mother of his children, Marce Juarez; siblings, Silvia, Ramon, Esteban, Lourdes, Juan and Abraham Cruz; and his parents, Martina Villavicencio and Gonzalo Cruz.

Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place a Laurel Hill Cemetery after the funeral.
