Anna Mae Hunt

Anna Mae Barclay Hunt passed away on April 4, 2008. Anne was born on March 26, 1926. She lived most of her life in the metro Des Moines area. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter A. (Booie) hunt and is survived by her daughters Merrilee (Bob) Storm of Lockhart, Texas and Melody (Chuck) Kirk of Carlisle, Iowa. Anne had six grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. She has requested no services but asked that this poem be remembered:
So live that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan that moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber is the silent halls of death
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.
