To Skip and Geri, and all the Folsoms:
I was Lesa's good friend in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades; along with Kathy Garret, were were the trio inseparable! My mother saw and saved the obituary from Sunday's Register. I am so terribly sorry to hear about Lesa. She was the best pal and playmate--I have never forgotten her, even though Kathy and I both had to move away from Des Moines, and didn't get to continue our friendship. Kathy is gone, too, and just me left of the trio, now. I know we would have stayed good friends, if only we had been able to. I ended up in Cedar Falls to go to UNI after graduating from HS in 1972, and I have been here ever since, for the most part. My folks live here, now, too, and my sister is in Chicago.
I wanted to give you my sincere sympathy and tell you this--Lesa, even as the young girl I knew, was a very special person, and I am very proud to have been her best friend, once upon a time.
