Timothy O'Hara
November 06, 2017
Tim O'Hara passed away peacefully, surrounded by family November 6th 2017. He was born May 18, 1959 in Des Moines to Bill and Shirley O'Hara.
In his youth Tim was a natural hard-nosed, hard hitting athlete. Excelling in wrestling and football. He was a proud member and starting fullback on Lincoln High's first ever Iowa High School Playoff team. He graduated from Lincoln with the class of 1977.
Tim was your prototype "Jack of all trades" during his work life. Always a hard worker, he was blessed to be good with his hands and mind. He worked for and owned several companies specializing in plumbing, cable contracting, security and heavy equipment operating. During his last days, Tim was happy to have the chance and proud to still be able to operate a backend loader.
Left to cherish his memory are his twin boys, Tanner and Tayler; parents, Bill and Shirley O'Hara; sister, Doreen Mauch (Loren); brothers, Brad (Jennifer) and Scott (Tiffany); along with many nieces, nephews; a great-niece and a great-nephew.
Preceded in death by his brother, Brian; paternal and maternal grandparents.
Tim and his family would like to thank all of his friends and caregivers who were so good to him and his family during this most difficult time.
Per Tim's wishes the family will host a celebration of life gathering at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for Tanner & Tayler’s education fund.
