Dennis "Mike" Streepy

Dennis “Mike” Streepy, 75, died on October 13, 2017 from Multiple Myeloma at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. He was born June 29, 1942 in Centerville, Iowa to Arthur and Halcyone (Moriarty) Streepy.
Mike graduated from Cincinnati High School at the age of 16 as valedictorian in 1958. He worked as an over the road truck driver for 46 years. In his retirement, Mike drove tour busses for Windstar Lines for 10 years. His greatest love was driving over the road whether it be in his semi-truck or tour bus.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Paula; daughter, Denise M. Streepy; son, James A. Streepy; grandsons, Joshua Drew and Lucas James Streepy; granddaughters, Madeline Mae Streepy and Diannia Madison; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Rae (Robert Wheeler) Streepy; nephew, Kaleb (Elizabeth) Streepy-Wheeler; and niece, Kara (Chris) Mitchum.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 4-7 p.m.

Dennis Mike Streepy you will be missed. Family our condolences to you. We are the booth attendants at Island View Camp Ground down at Centervile Ratbun area. Dennis came into our booth many times and visited. I, Kayla, am from this area also and there was a lot to talk about. Jim and I were talking, we had a very busy Summer, but was Dennis down this Summer we both feel like he was and was his illness sudden or had it been in remission. Don't remember him talking about being sick. So sorry for your loss.

We are saddened that we won't be seeing Mike again in this life. He was a lifetime friend and so much fun to be around. He brightened up every gathering with his wit and laughter. RIP Mike. Prayers for your family.
