Mildred Stanger

Mildred W. Stanger, 96, of State Center, IA, died February 17, 2008 at the State Center Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mildred was born February 19, 1911 in Des Moines to Jude and Winnie Stader. She was very active in her church and loved to read and travel with her sister, Alma. Mildred will be remembered for her sweet and thoughtful ways.
Mildred is survived by her niece, Judy (Jerry) Larson; nephew, Gene Stader; and many other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Dorothy, Geraldine and Alma Stader; and a brother, Charles.
