Alma R. Bruett, 88, of Des Moines, died peacefully, Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Bruett.
Alma was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and cooking. Her hobbies included reading, volunteering and gardening. Alma was an active member of the Highland Park Christian Church for over 60 years. She is survived by her four children, Bill (Tina) Bruett, Sue (Richard) Van Houten, Mary Rose (Dennis) O’Brien, and Cyndi (Gary) Pannkuk and 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Highland Park Christian Church. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to HPCC and Mercy Hospice Johnston.
